About the stay in the Espaço Azul
Besides receiving groups that organize retreats, courses and holistic practices, housing is also offered independently in the existing houses and chalets, which have fully equipped kitchens. In this way, guests may experience the Espaço Azul and its charms in an individual, comfortable and safe way.
Our arrival and check in times are between 16 and 19 hours.
The check-out time is up to 16 hours.
Our guest policies for groups and individuals include:
• All our guests must only cook food that is vegetarian or vegan (without birds, fishes, or processed animal products). Eggs and dairy are allowed;
• They must also abstain from any alcoholic beverages or other types of intoxicants within the boundaries of the Espaço Azul.
• As we are in a rural area there are no nearby markets and guests should therefore provide their own food before their arrival; the kitchens are fully equipped with all the necessary tools, oven and fridge. We provide towels, sponges, liquid soap and matches for the first days.
• We receive children of any age, but the parents are completely responsible for their safety and entertainment, as the Espaço Azul is not configured for small children;
• We do not receive animals of any size;
• We prioritize the respect between guests, it is not permitted to play loud music or other practices that may disturb others;
• Our beds are provided with pillows, quilts and blankets, but we do not provide bedding or towels. During the months of May, June and July it is recommended for guests to bring extra blankets, as nights can be particularly cold;
• All rooms are provided with water filters and the water of the Espaço Azul comes directly from our spring and is fit for drinking;
• We do not have room services, all chalets are provided with cleaning materials for the convenience of guests;
• We have appropriate locations for organic residues through compost areas. The remainder of the trash should be dry and clean and, if possible, removed by the guest on departure, for there is no trash collection in the Serra dos Pireneus;
• Wi-Fi internet works in most of the chalets. For chalets with weaker signals, there is a specific place (LAN House), equipped with tables and chairs, for free use of the internet;
• We do not have air conditioning, but our climate is cool, especially at night;
• We do not have TV, but long term guests may install their own antennas if they so desire.
Rules for Booking
To confirm your stay it is necessary a 50% upfront payment, with the remainder paid during check in.
Before payment, please confirm if you have understood and identify yourself with our policies, as described in the Guest Policies. The administration reserves the right to request for a guest to leave, without refund, if they disrespect the rules.
Rules for canceling reservations
GROUPS: Cancellation requests up to 15 days before the start of the event will have 90% of their deposit refunded. With less than 15 days to the event, 50% will be refunded and in the case of a cancellation three days or less before the start of the event, we will retain the total value of the deposit, but will make 50% of this value as credit for rescheduling within the next five months.
HOLIDAYS AND WEEKENDS: Cancellation requests up to 15 days before the start of the event will have 90% of their deposit refunded. With less than 15 days to the event, 50% will be refunded and in the case of a cancellation three days or less before the start of the event, we will retain the total value of the deposit, but will make 50% of this value as credit for rescheduling within the next five months.
WEEKDAYS: Cancellation requests made up to seven days before the arrival date will have 90% of their value returned. With less than seven days the value will be kept for a rescheduling within the next five months.
